I was pretty busy making the breastplates and I have a lovely and talented friend Turianne who comes from a lineage of flax weavers, so engaged her skills to make some muka fibre rope to hang the breastplates from the tree on.

And all that effort for this humble coil of 5 metres of flax fibre to hang the breastplates from the tree on. I could have bought hemp twine, but after all the effort to craft those pieces by hand I just couldn't do the store bought thing.
